
IT Contract Expiration
Expiring contracts are inevitable. However, the degree to which agencies are prepared varies due to several factors, not the least of which is the availability of a new or alternative vehicle. Whether the expiring contract is seen as a burden or an opportunity is influenced by an agencies overall strategy. In either case an acquisition will need to be done, a strategy for the acquisition will need to be formulated, socialized, and agree upon. The documents that embody this strategy will need to be prepared and resulting proposals will need to be evaluated.
In some cases an assessment of the infrastructure will be necessary to determine the viability of the existing technology and to see if it is appropriate to transform the enterprise to an alternative service delivery mechanism.
